Volume 47 of new contemporary at magazine Hi-Fructose is on the horizon and I have two stories in it. For this issue, I interviewed L.A.-based artist Ken Flewellyn, who merges hip-hop and traditional Japanese imagery in his paintings. I also wrote this issue’s insert, which features the artwork of Erik Jones. These are stories that are only available in print. If you want to read them, pre-order a copy now.
You can catch me on the CDJs at The Lash twice this week. On Thursday, I’ll be playing the debut night of a new goth and industrial party called Stomp! Friday marks the return of From Here to Eternity, the tribute to Giorgio Moroder that my pal Rose Knows and I throw at The Lash. If you attended the last two parties, then you know it’s a really fun night. If you haven’t visited us yet, stop by this week. The Lash is at 117 Winston St. in downtown Los Angeles. Both parties are 21+, 9 p.m. start, no cover.
